Job summary

The University of Texas at El Paso seeks an Aquatics Coordinator to manage the planning, development, and fulfilment of aquatic recreational programs, oversee the branch budget, and ensure staffing through supervisory duties.

This position operates the swimming facility throughout the week and, with oversight, the general facilities during weekends. Requires a Bachelor's degree and Lifeguard certification, plus at least one year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Education, Sport Management, Exercise Science, Outdoor Recreation, or related field.
• One (1) year of professional experience related to the assigned program area; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Lifeguard Certified (Required Certifications)

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, evaluate and supervise staff members.
• Plan and conduct in-service sessions for lifeguards.
• Forecast and operate the aquatics budget and maintain records.
• Manage pool operations and weekend facilities.
• Develop and implement safety and risk management procedures for aquatic programs.
