Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a proactive Aquatics Supervisor to lead swim lessons and supervise lifeguards within the pool program. You will coordinate schedules, monitor safety, and maintain strong member relations under the Y values.

You will work with the Director, manage staff, oversee registrations and refunds, and ensure strict adherence to safety standards. Training for lifeguard and swim instructor certifications is provided.

Qualifications

• CPR, AED, O2 and First Aid certifications required; training provided by the Y.
• 21+ years old with skills in swimming instruction, lifeguarding and supervision.
• 1 year of supervisory experience required.
• YMCA Lifeguard Certification or equivalent; ability to obtain certification on employment.
• Will acquire additional YMCA aquatic certifications as trainings become available.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Aquatic Program and coordinate swim lessons under Y values.
• Supervise swim instructors, create work schedules, and manage private lessons.
• Ensure safety, proper equipment use, and facility maintenance.
• Handle refunds, class changes, and scheduling with the Director.
• Promote program marketing and participate in staff meetings.
