Job summary

YMCA of the East Bay is seeking an Aquatics Coordinator to assist in supervising group and private swim lessons and manage daily pool operations. The role includes coordinating staff, scheduling classes, and ensuring safety across all aquatic programs.

The position requires Lifeguard CPR/First Aid certifications and the ability to teach swim and water fitness. Strong communication with members and colleagues is essential to deliver high-quality programming.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in related field or equivalent.
• Possess Lifeguarding/CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, and Basic First Aid certification(s).
• Ability to teach swim and water fitness in YMCA standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee group and private swim lesson programs including scheduling and staff communication.
• Supervise lifeguards, instructors, and pool areas; ensure safety and compliance with YMCA standards.
• Provide swim and water fitness instruction and emergency coverage as needed.
• Maintain registration records and class inputs in YMCA database; track schedules and rosters.
