Samost Jewish Family and Children's Service of Southern New Jersey is seeking an Assistant Aquatics Manager to supervise aquatic programs and operations across indoor and outdoor pools. The role includes swim lessons, lifeguard training, and special events, working with the Aquatics Director to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of supervisory experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office and staffing/CRM tools, and the ability to manage staffing, records,

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Recreation, Sports Management, Physical Education, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Staffing scheduler experience (e.g., When2Work, ADP) and CRM familiarity (Daxko Operations, Salesforce).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, scheduling, implementation, registration, teaching, staffing, and evaluation of aquatic programs, including JSplash swim lessons and lifeguard training.
• Maintain accurate participant records and complete program tasks as assigned by the Aquatics Director.
• Oversee outdoor pool preparation, operation, maintenance, safety, and staffing.
• Recruit seasonal lifeguards and ECC swim instructors; support ECC camp staffing ratios.
• Coordinate summer programs, events, rentals, and inventory for next season.
• Supervise lifeguards and instructors; conduct monthly in-service training; ensure certifications are maintained.
