Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. is seeking an experienced Aquatics Manager to oversee the operations of the aquatics department, supervise staff, and manage budgets.

The role includes program development, safety compliance, and ongoing coordination of daily activities to deliver high-quality aquatic programs for members and the community. The successful candidate will lead staff, ensure proper pool maintenance, approvals, and reporting, and develop new programs while expanding existing ones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in recreation-related field with 5 years aquatics management experience.
• 5+ years management and supervisory experience in aquatics.
• Lifeguard, CPR, AED, First Aid certifications (YMCA/ARC).
• Proficient in swimming and safety skills.
• Must pass YMCA swim test and be ready to respond to emergencies.
• Strong organizational, budgeting, computer and communication skills.
• Able to train lifeguards, swim instructors and water fitness staff.
• Excellent communication and public relations skills.
• Trainer-level certification in YMCA Swim Lessons and ARC Lifeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Oversee aquatic programs operations and staffing.
• Develop and monitor department budgets.
• Create monthly strategic plans to meet financial targets.
• Promote programs to public and members.
• Ensure safety, equipment maintenance, and records.
• Recruit and train staff and volunteers.
• Coordinate compliance with safety standards.
• Complete projects assigned by the Association Director of Aquatics.
