Job summary

TriHealth seeks an experienced Aquatics Manager to lead lifeguards, swim instructors, and water-based fitness staff. You will develop annual aquatics programming, manage staffing, and oversee safety, quality, and operations across pool facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Health and Fitness or related field (Required)
• Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree (Preferred)
• 1 - 2 years of aquatics operations, lifeguarding, swim instruction, aquatic programming, or water-based fitness instruction (Required)
• Up to 1 year of supervisor/lead roles (Required)
• 3 - 4 years of leadership in aquatics/pool operations (Preferred)
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; computer skills: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, scheduling tools
• Programs with children, adults, adolescents, seniors, families, beginners, and special populations
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Lifeguarding Instructor Required
• Other Water Safety Instructor or related certifications required within 6 months as needed (Required)

Responsibilities

• Works as part of the community center or site's leadership team and participates in required meetings
• Provides Manager on Duty coverage and oversees safety, service recovery, and facility oversight
• Develops the annual aquatics program plan, staffing model, and operating budget for assigned areas
• Oversees aquatics staffing including hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluation of lifeguards and instructors
• Coordinates aquatic vendors, maintenance partners, TriHealth staff to ensure safe, clean pool operations
• Manages daily pool operations including chemicals, water volume, inventory, temperature, shutdown planning and communication
• Delivers swim lessons, aquatic classes, lifeguard shifts, or on-deck supervision as appropriate
• Direct Reports FTEs = 3-9; maintain current certifications and emergency readiness
