Job summary

The Aquatics Director at YMCA of the USA develops, organizes and implements high quality, member-focused aquatics programs and manages the pool and aquatics staff daily.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 1–2 years of supervisory experience, and CPR/AED/First Aid, lifeguarding, learn-to-swim, and water exercise certifications or ability to obtain them; strong community relations, customer service, and proficiency in Word/Excel; willingness to flex schedule to cover

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 1–2 years of supervisory experience preferred
• CPR, AED/O2, First Aid, lifeguarding, learn-to-swim, and water exercise certifications or ability to gain certifications
• Proven ability to stimulate program growth through strong community relations and innovative programming with emphasis on creating positive experiences for all members
• Computer proficiency (Word and Excel)
• Must display high degree of professionalism and customer service and exemplify YMCA values
• Ability to flex schedule to periodically monitor all aspects of aquatics programming
