A leading health care organization is seeking an Aquatics Manager to develop and oversee aquatic programs. This role involves managing swim lessons, staff training, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, along with relevant certifications and experience in a fitness environment.
Develop, organize, and promote aquatic programs. Oversee swim lesson scheduling, marketing, outreach, inventory, purchasing, and facility maintenance. Provide swim instruction, staff training, and support for special events and recruitment, ensuring compliance with training and certification standards.
Required certifications include Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor. North Carolina Certified Pool Operator certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire. American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Trainer certification is preferred. Candidates should have at least two years of successful experience in a fitness environment. An associate or bachelor’s degree in fitness, business, or recreation is preferred.
The ideal applicant will have experience in program development for aquatics, fitness, or recreation. Strong organizational skills, enthusiasm, interpersonal skills, and the ability to direct staff are essential.
