Job summary

Exos Partners, LLC is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager, Aquatics in Rochester, NY to help lead our aquatics programs, ensuring safety, efficiency, and exceptional service for all members. You will assist in managing staff, enhancing program operations, and fostering a positive aquatic environment.

Responsibilities include recruiting and training lifeguards and instructors, building staff schedules, and delivering outstanding customer service while driving program improvements.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in aquatics with 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of teaching progressions for both children and adults.
• Current Red Cross certifications including AED, CPR, First Aid, Coaches Water Safety and Lifeguard Instructor.
• Superior communication skills with diverse populations.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, train, and supervise Lifeguards, Swim Instructors, and Aquatics Desk Staff.
• Conduct new staff orientation, ongoing training sessions, and performance reviews.
• Develop and maintain schedules for Lifeguards, Swim Instructors, and Service Desk Staff, including events.
• Support Aquatics Desk staff in organizing administrative processes and delivering exceptional customer service.
• Communicate schedule changes and pool temperature updates to members and staff.
• Address member issues and concerns to improve satisfaction and program efficiency.
• Ensure overall efficiency of aquatics programs and propose improvements.
• Perform additional duties to support aquatics operations.
