Job summary

EXOS is seeking a Head Lifeguard in Minneapolis, MN to lead lifeguard operations, ensure safety, and deliver high-quality patron service in the aquatics area. The role includes coordinating emergency actions, managing staff schedules, and assisting with programming as needed.

The ideal candidate has lifeguarding experience, CPR/First Aid, and the ability to obtain certifications at hire. This is a full-time on-site position with EXOS healthcare and benefits for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Lifeguarding certification or ability to obtain at time of hire.
• Experience lifeguarding or teaching swim lessons.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications or ability to obtain at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Address patron concerns and provide frontline customer service.
• Coordinate emergency response efforts per YWCA Emergency Action Plan.
• Communicate schedule changes and updates to staff and patrons.
• Ensure lifeguard rotation and break schedules are followed.
• Adjust water features and programs to suit patron needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the Aquatics Area.
• Track and replenish first aid and safety supplies.
• Assist with administrative and programming duties as assigned.
• Provide lifeguard or swim instruction coverage when needed.

Minimum rates may vary based on local wage laws. Pay is dependent on factors including site location, specialty, certifications and work experience as well as other business needs.
