Job summary

Life Time in Gainesville, FL is seeking an Aquatics Lifeguard dedicated to safety and guest service. You will oversee indoor/outdoor pools, monitor deck and water slides, and assist with events like Dive in Movies and Poolapalooza.

The role requires working toward a high school diploma or GED, current StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid certifications, plus the ability to swim 300 yards, tread water, and lift up to 20 lbs. This is an hourly position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED.
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certification (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year).
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping.
• Ability to tread water for 1 minute.
• Ability to swim, retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the bottom and swim to the top.
• Ability to routinely bend to raise more than 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with Members.
• Rescues swimmers in danger of drowning and administers first aid.
• Ensures swimmers are aware of potentially dangerous swim areas and activities.
• Keeps the pool area clean and orderly to ensure the safety of the Members.
