Base pay range

$15.00/hr - $18.00/hr

Brief Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Utilize knowledge and material to provide swimming instruction for various age groups from preschool to adult in accordance with National YMCA guidelines.
• Responsible for the health and safety of all individuals in the pool, including caution regarding unsafe practices and conditions, and perform rescue/first aid when necessary.
• Report accidents and injuries and complete incident reports.
• Report maintenance or safety issues to Aquatics Director.
• Prepare and submit lesson plans and maintain accurate program records for assigned classes.
• Attend staff meetings/events. Demonstrate and teach the Character Development values of caring, respect, responsibility, and honesty.
• Arrive prepared for scheduled classes, including arriving 15 minutes early, in proper attire, and ready to supervise swimmers attentively.
• Work harmoniously with staff, volunteers, and members to foster a team and family atmosphere. Promote self-esteem and be an enthusiastic YMCA representative.
• Stay informed about current programs and facility schedules to assist members effectively.
