Job summary

City of Largo is seeking an experienced Aquatics Maintenance Coordinator to oversee operation and repair of an Olympic-size pool and aquatics center. You will manage chemistry, pumps, filtration, and geothermal systems while ensuring health and safety standards.

Role requires five years of related experience, plus valid pool operator licenses. Strong leadership and budgeting skills are essential for coordinating staff and contractors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 5+ years directly related experience in aquatic facility maintenance.
• Must possess a Certified Pool Operator License and an Aquatic Facility Operator License.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate aquatic facility maintenance and repairs to meet health and safety standards.
• Lead maintenance projects and coordinate vendors/contractors for facility upgrades.
• Manage budgets and prepare cost estimates for renovations and repairs.
• Monitor water chemistry, pumps, filtration systems, and geothermal heating/cooling systems.
• Respond to service requests and supervise staff to ensure safe operations.
