Job summary

City of Lakewood seeks an on-site Aquatics Supervisor to oversee all aspects of the pool facility. You will supervise lifeguards, train staff, schedule shifts, and ensure safety for patrons while maintaining records and pool chemistry.

Key duties include enforcing city rules, coordinating with staff, and ensuring smooth operation during varied hours and weekends. A ARC Lifeguarding cert is required; LGI and AFO/CPO knowledge are pluses.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Lifeguarding for at least 1 year required.
• Supervisory experience 1 year preferred.
• Swim lessons experience preferred.
• Certifications: ARC Lifeguarding required; LGI preferred; AFO/CPO knowledge helpful.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and evaluate lifeguards; provide training and audits.
• Ensure patron safety across pool facility at all times.
• Schedule lifeguards to maintain proper staffing levels.
• Instruct swim lessons and enforce pool policies.
• Maintain pool chemistry and logs; ensure cleanliness and paperwork.
