The City of Largo is seeking a lifeguard to protect patrons at an aquatic facility. Under general supervision, you will monitor activities, enforce safety rules, and respond to emergencies.

Lead responsibilities may be assigned, and the position reports to an assigned manager. Responsibilities include supervising the pool area, rescuing swimmers in danger, providing lifesaving techniques, giving swimming instructions, and assisting with training and operations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old on the date of application.
• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification is required.
• Water Safety Instructor (WSI) Certifications are preferred.
• Some positions require a valid driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Ensure the safety of patrons by preventing hazardous situations and responding to emergencies.
• Supervise and patrol pool areas to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment.
• Rescue swimmers in danger and apply first aid; obtain professional aid as needed.
• Provide swimming instruction and document activities and incidents as required.
• Open, close, and secure the facility and enforce rules and safety precautions.
• Prepare accident reports and assist with training team members and volunteers.
