Job summary

The City of Largo is seeking a dedicated Lifeguard to ensure patron safety at the aquatic facility. Under supervision, you will monitor the pool, respond to emergencies, and assist in leading activities and program operations.

Required is an American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification with Water Safety Instructor preferred. The role includes outdoor work, hourly pay, and opportunities to support community programs and events.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification required.
• Water Safety Instructor certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant surveillance of patrons and respond to emergencies.
• Rescue swimmers in danger and provide lifesaving techniques and first aid.
• Open, close, and secure pool facilities and enforce rules for safety.
• Process memberships, registrations, and payments; provide customer service.
• Assist with training team members and volunteers.
