The Romulus Athletic Center seeks an experienced Aquatics Director to oversee day-to-day operations of the aquatics center, including pools, lessons, fitness classes, events and outdoor splash pad. You will manage safety, maintenance, and the pump rooms, while driving programming, partnerships and community engagement.

Responsibilities include budgeting, revenue tracking, policy compliance and staff supervision of lifeguards and instructors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in recreation, sports management or related field.
• 3–5 years relevant experience preferred.
• Experience supervising lifeguards or related staff.
• Current relevant certifications preferred.

Responsabilités

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the aquatics center (pools, splash pad, classes, events).
• Ensure safety, compliance with health standards, and maintenance of pump rooms.
• Develop and manage programming, partnerships and community engagement.
• Lead budgeting, revenue tracking and administrative reporting.
• Recruit, train and supervise lifeguards, instructors and staff.
• Coordinate with Marketing for promotional materials and events.
