Job summary

YMCA of Greater Houston seeks a dedicated aquatic programs leader to develop, organize, implement, and evaluate YMCA aquatic activities at assigned centers. The role emphasizes safety, youth development, and healthy living, with year-round indoor and outdoor pools.

Responsibilities include directing program activities, staffing, budget oversight, community partnerships, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Flexible hours and opportunities to contribute across centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 1–2 years related aquatics experience preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, Bloodborne Pathogens certifications completed within 6 months.
• YMCA program-specific and trainer certifications completed as soon as possible but within six months.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise aquatic program activities to meet YMCA objectives.
• Recruit, hire, train, and schedule staff and volunteers; monitor performance.
• Oversee pool operations, safety regulations, and facility maintenance.
• Manage program budgets and assist with fundraising activities.
