The Aquatic Director provides overall direction, coordination, and success of YMCA Pool operations. Enthusiastic applicants serve as YMCA ambassadors to provide members and staff with a great experience. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience working with individuals with special needs.
• Experience in fitness, retail, recreation management, or hospitality industries.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience providing high-end member service and managing member concerns.
• Strong leadership skills; passion for member service, building and maintaining a culture of member service excellence.
• Upon hire, you'll be required to pursue American Red Cross Lifeguard certification as well as YMCA swim lesson instructor certification.

Essential Functions

• Experience and passion working with the special needs population.
• Understand branch revenue and program goals, and plan daily/weekly workload accordingly.
• Foster a positive culture where teams love to work and members love to visit; recognize and reward member-centered behaviors.
• Promote diversity, inclusion, global engagement, and cultural competence.
• Work a schedule that aligns with guest and business needs, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Ensure the swimming facility meets or exceeds safety standards.
• Supervise staff, ensure appropriate staffing, coordinate breaks, and monitor performance and member service.
• Develop high-quality aquatics programs, including swim lessons and water fitness, ensuring safety and injury prevention.
