Job summary

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in aquatics or youth programming.
• Natural coach who gives feedback early and often.
• Comfortable with digital tools and quick to learn new systems.
• Must obtain Lifeguard Certification through Goldfish Swim School if not already.
• Available for evening and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Keep lessons running on time and to brand standards.
• Coach instructors on skill evaluation to support student progress.
• Use attendance and performance data to spot problems and adjust.
• Communicate expectations to staff before each shift.
• Guide new hires from onboarding through training.
• Perform formal evaluations and assist with staffing decisions.
• Maintain all staff certifications (lifeguard, CPR) and records.
• Lead skill-based events and quarterly swim meets.
• Own safety culture and oversee Emergency Action Plan and staff training.
• Manage coverage and real-time staffing during call-outs.
• Serve as Manager on Duty during shifts to ensure smooth operation.
