Zusammenfassung

Carowinds is seeking an Area Manager of Aquatics to ensure the safe and efficient operation of Carolina Harbor attractions. You will oversee attractions, assist in hiring and managing talent, and collaborate with other divisional managers on tasks and projects.

The role requires leadership experience in a theme or water park setting, with a strong focus on safety, staff development, and policy compliance. You will work with multiple departments to maintain guest satisfaction.

Qualifikationen

• 3-5 years of related experience in a theme park, or water park operation with 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Eligibility to obtain Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Training Program Instructor license.
• Ability to learn CPR and Basic First Aid and maintain current certification.
• College degree preferred; HS Diploma or GED required.

Aufgaben

• Oversees the operations of all Carolina Harbor water attractions and acts as duty Manager for Aquatics Operations.
• Oversees setup and winterization of all park rides/attractions to ensure safe operation and proper staffing.
• Communicates concerns to Director/Manager and other departments as appropriate.
• Ensures SOPs are followed during downtime or emergencies and coordinates evacuations as needed.
• Participates in selection, training, scheduling, and supervision of Aquatics seasonal staff.
• Reads, writes, and reviews SOP manuals.
• Ensures compliance with labor laws including employment of minors.
• Coaches and counsels staff; approves personnel changes to ensure policy compliance.
• Prepares annual department labor and operating budgets; monitors expenses and procurement.
• Responds to guest feedback and maintains high levels of guest service.
• Adheres to Cedar Fair policies and demonstrates commitment to customer service.
• Other duties as assigned.
