Job summary

WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA SCHOOL FOR BLIND CHILDREN is seeking an Aquatic Physical Therapy Aide to support our PT team in delivering aquatic therapy to students with complex needs. You will help with positioning, transfers, showering, and dressing before and after pool activities, while maintaining a clean aquatic therapy environment.

Qualifications

• Rehabilitation experience is preferred but not required.
• Lifeguard certification is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist therapists during aquatic treatment sessions and in-water activities.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized therapy environment after sessions.
• Position, transfer, shower and dress students as needed for therapy.
• Document attendance and programming; assist with scheduling.
• Assist with transportation of students in the morning and afternoon.
• Order supplies and equipment as needed; support rehab equipment projects.
