Job summary

YMCA of Greater Monmouth County is seeking an Aquatics Group Fitness Instructor for Red Bank YMCA to lead water-based fitness classes and promote safe, engaging workouts.

You will motivate participants, ensure safety, and create an inclusive, supportive environment in a pool setting. Certification and training are required, with orientation provided by the YMCA.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Current Aquatics Group Fitness Certification (e.g., AEA, YMCA, or equivalent).
• Previous teaching experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate and lead group exercise classes to a diverse group of participants.
• First Aid, CPR/AED certification within 90 days of hire date.
• Notify Healthy Living Director within 60 days before First Aid, CPR/AED expiration date.
• The YMCA provides First Aid, CPR/AED recertification classes.
• YMCA Child Abuse Prevention Online Training
• Blood borne Pathogen Online Training

We are seeking passionate and energetic Aquatics Group Fitness Instructors to lead water-based fitness classes. Instructors will motivate participants, ensure safety, and deliver fun, engaging workouts in a supportive environment.
