Job summary

The YMCA in Flemington, NJ is looking for a certified aquatics group exercise instructor for a part-time, hourly role. You will lead deep-water workouts, engage members, and create safe, effective classes for all abilities.

Qualified candidates have 2+ years of aquatics fitness experience, a valid Aquatics Group Exercise Instructor Certification, and First Aid/CPR/AED training or the ability to obtain it. Flexibility for substitutions is valued.

Qualifications

• Age 18+ with 2+ years aquatics fitness or fitness instructor experience preferred.
• Have an Aquatics Group Exercise Instructor Certification.
• First Aid/CPR/AED training or ability to pass provided trainings.

Responsibilities

• Conducting primarily deep water workouts.
• Finding new and engaging ways to connect with our members during class.
• Instructing an effective, safe class for all abilities at the YMCA.
• Willing and able to serve as a substitute for fellow instructors.

Flemington, NJ | Part Time, Hourly | $23.00-$30.00 per hour

What is needed for this job:

• Age 18+ and have 2+ years Aquatics Fitness or Fitness Instructor experience preferred


• Have an Aquatics Group Exercise Instructor Certification


• Can perform First Aid/CPR/AED/Emergency Oxygen or ability to pass provided trainings


• The ability to adapt your class/style for the members in front of you
