Qualifications

• Experience managing an aquatic centre or similar facility.
• Current Lifeguarding and Pool Plant Operator certifications.
• Strong knowledge of aquatic safety regulations and risk management.
• Experience in program development, marketing and staff management.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management is advantageous.

About the Role

Our client seeks a proactive and service-oriented Aquatic Centre Manager to lead their facility in Welkom. You will be responsible for the daily operations, programming, and financial performance of the centre, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer satisfaction, thereby enhancing recreational opportunities in the Free State community.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the aquatic centre, ensuring all areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Develop, implement, and manage a diverse range of aquatic programs, including lessons, fitness classes, and events.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise lifeguards, swim instructors, and other aquatic staff.
• Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and emergency protocols, maintaining pool water quality and safety standards.
• Manage the centre's budget, revenue generation, and expense control to achieve financial targets.
• Promote the aquatic centre and its programs to the local community, fostering strong relationships with members and stakeholders.
