Job summary

The Aquatic Center at the Resource Connection is seeking an Aquatic Attendant to support daily operations, assist with program activities, and maintain a safe, welcoming environment for patrons.

This role collaborates with lifeguards and instructors to ensure smooth operations, manages equipment and records, and helps with water chemistry under supervision. Training and ADA support are provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age with valid identification.
• One year of experience in recreation, aquatics, customer service, or related field.
• Must obtain CPR/AED certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet patrons, provide facility tours, check memberships, issue badges, and answer general inquiries. Processes class registrations, program sign-ups, and facility reservations.
• Assists instructors with class setup for water exercise, swim lessons, and group rentals; directs patrons to activity zones; handles equipment setup and storage.
• Performs routine water chemistry checks; records results; reports facility maintenance issues.
• Responds to minor first aid incidents and assists lifeguards in emergency response; guides patrons during evacuations.
• Completes chemical logs, cleaning logs, and bather-load records; conducts daily walkthroughs for cleanliness and safety.
• Participates in in-service training and staff meetings; performs other duties as assigned.
