Job summary

The Aquatic Center at the Resource Connection is a year-round, shallow-water, heated facility used for recreational swimming, therapeutic exercise, and learn-to-swim programs. The Aquatic Attendant will support daily operations by delivering customer service, maintaining water chemistry, assisting instructors, and helping ensure a safe, clean environment for all patrons.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old with valid ID.
• One year of experience in recreation, aquatics, or customer service.
• Must obtain CPR/AED certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet patrons, give facility tours, check memberships, and answer inquiries.
• Assist with class registrations, program sign-ups, and reservations; handle patron concerns.
• Prepare equipment for water exercise, swim lessons, and rentals; direct activity zones.
• Perform routine water chemistry checks and record results under supervision.
• Support lifeguards in emergencies and guide patrons during evacuations as needed.
• Unlock and secure facility areas; maintain logs for chemical and cleaning activities.
• Conduct daily walkthroughs to verify cleanliness, readiness, and safety compliance.
