Job summary

Willow Valley Communities at The Cultural Center is seeking a Part-Time Aquatic Attendant/Lifeguard to ensure a safe and enjoyable pool experience. You will monitor the pool, assist swimmers, perform rescues when needed, and help with pool maintenance and events under supervision.

The role requires Lifeguard and CPR certifications, basic swimming ability, and availability for a part-time schedule at Willow Street, PA location.

Qualifications

• Education: Less than high school or up to one month related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to swim, demonstrate adequate swim performance, and tread water in the deep end of the pool.
• For Lifeguards: Current Lifeguard Certification and CPR Certification required

Responsibilities

• Promoting a safe and enjoyable swimming environment.
• Cautioning swimmers regarding unsafe areas.
• Rescuing swimmers in danger and administering first aid when needed.
• Maintaining order in swimming areas.
• Inspecting facilities to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Cleaning and adding water to the swimming pool as necessary.
• Testing free chlorine and pH levels daily.
• Conducting or officiating swimming meets as needed.
• Providing swimming instruction upon request.
• Overseeing pool parties and group swim events

Pay Rates

Lifeguard: $15.00/ per hourAquatic Attendant: $14.00/ per hour

What You'll Do

As part of our Aquatics team, you'll help create an exceptional pool experience by:

• Promoting a safe and enjoyable swimming environment

Hours & Schedule

Part-Time (< 24 Hours/Week)

• Monday - Friday: 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM
• Saturday: 7:30 AM - 2:00 PM
• Sunday: 12:45 PM - 5:00 PM
