The City of Pflugerville seeks a part-time lifeguard for the Monarch Recreation Center to monitor indoor and outdoor pools, slides, and water features while supporting aquatics programming. You will enforce rules, respond to unsafe conditions, perform rescues, and provide first aid as needed.

Part-time, year-round position responsible for ensuring the safety of patrons and supporting aquatics programming at the Monarch Recreation Center. This position monitors indoor and outdoor pools, slides, and water features during a variety of programs, including open swim, classes, fitness programs, and special events. The Lifeguard maintains safety standards while adapting to a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and school-year programming. Works collaboratively with aquatics staff and Recreation Center personnel to support overall facility operations.
Must be at least 15 years of age and currently enrolled in high school or have completed high school/GED.
None required. On-the-job training will be provided.
American Red Cross Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR/AED certification required.
Experience working in indoor and multi-use aquatic facilities. Experience supporting year-round aquatics programming.
