Job summary

A growing aquarium and aviary service company is looking for a part-time technician to service aquariums and aviaries primarily in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. This entry-level position requires some knowledge of hand tools and involves physical tasks such as lifting and bending. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic. A driver’s license is required, and flexibility in scheduling is highly valued. Competitive pay is offered, starting at $19 an hour.

This particular role will primarily be servicing of aquariums and aviaries in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. This is an entry level position that requires basic knowledge of hand tools and assembly. Lifting, bending, and heavy physical demands are involved in the position.

*Due to work being performed in long term care homes, masking/goggles may be required.

Required education, skills, abilities, and experience

• Experience in fish keeping and or bird keeping preferred

• Ability to successfully communicate and contribute in a team oriented environment.
• Must have the ability to comprehend and follow instructions and to read and write in English.
• Preference given to candidates with mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to be flexible with schedule and job responsibilities.
• Able to travel in your service area radius
• Heavy lifting and maneuvering is required.
• Flexibility is a must!
• High School education is preferred.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Starts at $19hr

Expected hours: 40 hours a week.
