Job summary

State of Washington Dept. of Social and Health Services is seeking a Training and Compliance Specialist within the Adult Protective Services program to develop statewide training that aligns with APS policies, state laws, and federal regulations.

You will design, deliver, and evaluate training for frontline staff and managers, focusing on compliance, adult learning best practices, and program quality. This role offers the opportunity to influence organizational culture and workforce excellence

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, health or social science, public administration or related field with a minimum of two years in APS program management and a minimum of three years in curriculum design
• Master’s degree with relevant APS field experience and curriculum design expertise as described in the job posting
• Combination of education and professional experience totaling at least nine years meets the seniority expectations described in the posting

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement training in APS policies, procedures, and hands-on application of these requirements to APS field work
• Facilitate and coordinate training to APS management and line staff across the state
• Develop and implement quality assurance measures and perform quality assurance on training content and materials to ensure statewide consistency and compliance with APS policy, state law, and federal regulations
• Conduct ongoing analysis, review, revision and updates of existing training and develop new training in order to meet the training needs of new and existing APS managers and staff as well as tribal staff
• Monitor and evaluate training and outcomes for compliance and employee success through various methods (survey, evaluation, skills and learning testing, etc.)
• Track and monitor training plans statewide for timely completion and learning center related activities
