Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Social Services is seeking an APS Complex Case Coordinator to provide statewide oversight of complex case activities and lead the APS Complex Case Unit. You will partner with OIDD, OMH, county offices, and external agencies to ensure timely, effective service delivery for adults in need.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of relevant social services experience or a Master’s with 1 year, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years in social services or related field.
• Master’s degree plus 1 year in social services or related field.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
• Experience with APS programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee statewide APS complex case activities and supervise the APS Complex Case Unit.
• Coordinate with OIDD and OMH to ensure services for adults are available and effective.
• Collaborate with county APS offices, state staff, and external agencies to move cases toward safe outcomes.
• Manage case load as needed and provide guidance to staff during complex cases.
