Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our hospital teams, providing assessment, triage, and therapeutic management across inpatient and outpatient services.

You will collaborate with physicians within an interdisciplinary team, document thoroughly, educate patients and families, and participate in ongoing professional development.

Active PA certification (NCCPA) and CT license required; ACLS/BLS as appropriate; DEA as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
• Clinical working experience as an NP/PA in the specialty/service line is preferred but not required.
• Active PA Certification by the NCCPA and CT State Physician Assistant License; ACLS/BLS; DEA license when indicated.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, triage, and therapeutic management as part of an interdisciplinary team across inpatient, ambulatory, or outpatient settings.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, treatments, and discharge instructions in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Ensure proper documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
