Job Duties Summary

The Advanced Practice Nurse (APRN) will assist surgeons in clinics, organize visits, perform procedures, assist in the operating room, answer pages, and round on post-operative patients. Responsibilities include managing outpatient post-operative care, answering inquiries, and prescribing medications. The APRN must have the expertise to perform assessments, diagnosis, and treatment of patient issues.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing
• Preferred: 2 years nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• Valid AR nursing license: APRN license

Additional Responsibilities

• Document results in critical care systems
• Participate in institutional initiatives
• Collaborate on policy and program development
• Work with healthcare professionals to diagnose and manage patient care
• Manage post-procedure immunosuppression and labs
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care and facilitate consults
• Provide health assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and prescriptions
• Perform other duties as needed
