Job summary

Powderhorn Mountain Resort is seeking a Bartender to provide friendly, efficient beverage service in a fast-paced, ski-resort environment. You will prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, verify IDs, handle cash and POS transactions, and help maintain a clean, well-stocked bar area.

The role requires strong guest service skills, reliability, and the ability to work flexible hours including peak periods, weekends, and holidays. Prior bartending or high-volume F&B experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in bartending or high-volume food & beverage preferred.
• Must meet all Colorado requirements for serving alcohol.
• Must be of legal drinking age.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
• Ability to handle cash and operate a POS system.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality; able to work as part of a team.
• Professional appearance and attitude.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide friendly, professional beverage service.
• Prepare and serve beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages per recipes.
• Verify identification and ensure compliance with liquor laws.
• Operate POS and process payments accurately.
• Restock and organize bar supplies and maintain cleanliness.
• Assist with opening/closing duties and cash-out procedures.
• Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management.
• Promote menu items and resort offerings when appropriate.
