Job summary

The Toro Company, based in Minnesota, seeks an AQE Engineer to lead APQP processes for new product launches and ongoing design improvements. You will coach teams, manage quality deliverables, and ensure alignment with customer expectations and internal KPIs.

Responsibilities include facilitating FMEA, PPAP, design reviews, CAPA closures, and production readiness while coordinating with manufacturing partners to uphold robust DFManufacturing practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Industrial/Quality Engineering.
• 4–7+ years in a manufacturing plant setting with mechanical and/or quality experience.
• ASQ or AIAG certifications in Advanced Quality Engineering, Quality Auditing, or Six Sigma preferred.
• Demonstrated mechanical & electrical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead APQP deliverables across NPD and design CI stage gates.
• Facilitate DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans, PPAP reviews and CAPA closures.
• Drive design reviews, DPAR, readiness for production release.
• Convert VOC insights into engineering specifications for development.
• Investigate field failures, analyze warranty claims, identify root causes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure DF manufacturing requirements.
• Develop and execute MLQP and PLQP to manage risks and PPAP needs.
• Produce quality reports and monitor KPIs for product lines.
