Job summary

ASTEMO AMERICAS, INC. is seeking an APQP Quality Leader to drive quality workstreams across assigned programs from feasibility through launch stabilization and handoff to serial production.

You will serve as the Quality representative on cross-functional teams, overseeing APQP deliverables and coordinating inputs for timely completion. The role requires strong knowledge of AIAG APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and IATF 16949, with 5+ years in automotive quality or launch-quality roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years automotive quality, APQP, launch quality, or manufacturing engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of AIAG APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plans, IATF 16949 and customer requirements.
• Experience with process validation, capability studies, measurement systems, and customer-approval activities.
• Ability to lead cross-functional activities, manage multiple program deliverables, and communicate risks with objective evidence.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality workstream and APQP activities from feasibility to launch stabilization and handoff to serial production quality.
• Represent Quality on cross-functional program teams and participate in feasibility, launch, customer, and gate reviews.
• Own and track APQP deliverables and coordinate inputs for timely completion.
• Monitor milestones, risks, and status; communicate through launch governance; manage escape conditions.
