Job summary
The Toro Company in Bloomington, MN seeks an AQE Engineer to lead APQP across the product development lifecycle, coaching teams and driving critical quality deliverables. You will manage dFMEA, pFMEA, PPAP reviews, CAPA closures, design reviews, and readiness for production, ensuring VOC-driven specs translate into reliable engineering outcomes.
With a strong background in mechanical and quality engineering, you will collaborate across functions, analyze field data, and implement DFx practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, Systems Engineering or Industrial Engineering required.
- Quality Engineer III: 4-7+ years in mechanical/industrial/manufacturing quality roles.
- Quality Engineer IV: 7+ years in similar roles.
- Proficient in APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, CAPA, Six Sigma.
Responsibilities
- Oversee APQP deliverables across New Product Development and Design CI stage-gate processes.
- Facilitate quality planning activities (FMEAs, PPAP, design/process reviews).
- Lead CPPAs and readiness for production release.
- Translate VOC insights into engineering specs for product development.
- Investigate field failures and warranty claims to identify root cause and drive improvements.
- Develop DFMEA/DFM alignment with manufacturing and suppliers.
- Create MLQP and PLQP aligned to PPAP requirements.
- Report on quality planning through data analysis and monitoring.
