Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking an Apprenticeship Coordinator to build and maintain the apprenticeship training schedule across trades and locations. You will coordinate inputs from instructors and operating groups, manage dependencies, and communicate changes to stakeholders.

You will support registration, prerequisites, and training administration while ensuring accurate schedule information and timely updates.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience coordinating complex schedules, training operations, construction operations, or related functions.
• Experience coordinating across multiple teams, stakeholder groups, or locations.
• Experience maintaining schedules and communicating changes, conflicts, and requirements.
• Experience coordinating meetings, classes, training events, or multi-site logistics.
• Construction, apprenticeship, learning and development, or workforce-program experience preferred.
• Advanced planning, scheduling, and organizational skills with ability to coordinate multiple priorities.
• Ability to gather, organize, and reconcile scheduling inputs from multiple stakeholders.
• Strong judgment in identifying scheduling conflicts, communicating impacts, and escalating issues.
• Experience with scheduling tools, learning management systems, or enterprise systems preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Superior attention to detail and commitment to accurate schedule information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Ability to manage schedule changes and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Active listening skills and openness to diverse input and feedback.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and communicate the apprenticeship training schedule across trades, operating groups, instructors, training locations, and apprenticeship functions.
• Coordinate scheduling inputs and dependencies to align curriculum requirements, instructor availability, facility availability, project needs, and apprentice attendance.
• Update the schedule as business needs change and communicate impacts to affected stakeholders.
• Identify scheduling conflicts, risks, and constraints and elevate them for resolution.
• Support implementation and ongoing administration of a block-scheduling model.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for apprenticeship schedule questions.
• Communicate upcoming training dates, attendance requirements, schedule changes, and deadlines to stakeholders.
• Coordinate schedule conflicts, change requests, and exceptions across groups, teams, instructors, apprentices.
• Provide schedule information and observations for capacity planning and reporting.
• Build relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
• Assist with instructor-led training logistics as needed.
• Support registration, enrollment, prerequisites, and related training administration.
• Ensure schedule information for apprentices and instructors to prepare for training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
