Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) seeks an Apprenticeship Coordinator to manage day-to-day operations of the apprenticeship programs, liaising with students, faculty, unions, WTCS and BAS. The role emphasizes compliance, records, and program growth.
The coordinator will monitor schedules and tuition, maintain contracts, and drive recruitment while exploring grants to sustain the programs. 40 hours/week at MATC Oak Creek with occasional travel to partner sites.

Under the direction of the Associate Dean of Manufacturing, Construction & Transportation (MCT) & Apprenticeship, the Apprenticeship Coordinator performs administrative and operational functions for the apprenticeship programs at MATC. This role is responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of day-to-day operations for students, faculty, and external partners. The Coordinator bridges the gap between internal academic departments and external stakeholders—including trade unions, employers, the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS), and the Bureau of Apprenticeship Standards (BAS). The coordinator is responsible for maintaining strict regulatory compliance, managing student progress and administrative records, resolving scheduling and registration issues, and actively driving program growth through recruitment initiatives and grant exploration.
Compliance with all state, federal, and accreditation standards/requirements, as well as all MATC policies and procedures.
Associate’s degree in related field and three (3) years experience in post-secondary education apprenticeship programs. Administrative experience related to apprenticeship programs like Youth Apprenticeship, Certified Pre-Apprenticeship or Registered Apprenticeship.
Bachelor’s degree and more than three (3) years related experience.
This position supports the Manufacturing, Construction, and Transportation (MCT) Pathway and is available starting as soon as possible.
This position is a 1.0 FTE or 40 hours per work week. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8am - 4:30pm. This position works out of the MATC Oak Creek Campus primarily, but will require occasional travel to meet with local external partners.
Salary is listed to the midpoint of the salary range and is based on the 2026/2027 rates and are determined by years of experience credit and internal salary equity.
