Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Motor coordination, manual and finger dexterity are essential.
• Intermediate to advanced mechanical skills and abilities are required.
• Intermediate computer skills are needed for monitoring and control.
• Intermediate to advanced team building and problem solving capabilities.
• Advanced time management and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Under Journeyman guidance, build, repair and perform preventative maintenance on injection molds.
• Also under Journeyman guidance, build and repair end of arm tooling for robots.
• Enroll in and attend apprenticeship training to attain Journeyman certification.
• Repair molds (on/off-line) as needed and document progress.
• Read and interpret blueprints and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Plan setup and operation of machine shop tools with materials, tolerances, and speeds.
• Log hours and track progress in required paperwork and systems.
• Coordinate with supervision on tooling program progress.
