Job summary

Gemini Group, Inc. in Ubly, MI is seeking a Journeyman Extrusion Tool & Die Maker for the 2nd shift to design, build, and repair extrusion dies that produce quality plastic parts.

You will inspect first parts, troubleshoot dies, operate a wire EDM and CNC milling machines, and complete weekly progress reports, reporting to the Extrusion Tool and Die Leader. A journeyman card or 8+ years in the trade is required, along with a High School diploma and CAD experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Journeyman tool and die experience or 8+ years in the trade preferred.
• Cad design experience is essential for die design and repair.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Design and build extrusion dies.
• Repair extrusion dies on and off line as needed.
• Maintain and repair all tooling machines.
• Inspect first parts produced by each new extrusion die.
• Troubleshoot all existing extrusion dies.
• Inspect other toolmakers work.
• Research and develop new tooling jobs and prototypes.
• Complete weekly progress reports.
• Operate a wire EDM and CNC milling machine.
