Apprentice Service Technician

Job Family – Service Operations

This family is dedicated to delivering excellence in all safety servicing activities for the full range of Survitec safety solutions, through the relentless pursuit of improvement to process, systems, data, standardisation of work, and continuous improvement practices.

Job Summary

This role supports qualified technicians to install, maintain, or repair Survitec products across one or more product categories, while working towards becoming fully competent. It focuses on delivering Survitec standard work to maintain and uphold right first-time quality and operational efficiency. Successful completion of technical product training and demonstrating application of that learning through competence assessments will lead to progression to a Service Technician role.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supports qualified Service Technicians in installing, maintaining, and repairing Survitec safety equipment to standard. Learns to perform discrete steps within the core servicing process under supervision, and works alongside qualified technicians to learn more complex steps.
  • Assists the Service Operations team in implementing controlled process changes to support continuous improvement.
  • Helps set up and test new products or processes; installs complex systems according to training and competence level, seeking guidance as needed.
  • Performs preventive maintenance inspections under supervision, developing skills to identify and diagnose requirements for emergency repairs.
  • Develops knowledge of Survitec policies, procedures, relevant regulatory codes, and standards to ensure work compliance, progressing towards competence in core product categories.
  • Adheres to Survitec Health, Safety, and Environment policies and procedures; identifies and raises safety and environmental risks.
  • Participates in assessment and development activities, including formal and informal training, to build capabilities across multiple product lines.
  • Maintains understanding of relevant technology, regulations, and industry best practices through ongoing learning.
  • Follows store requisition processes to maintain accurate stock levels and records.
  • Contributes to a positive team environment aligned with Survitec Values.
  • Supports a safety-first culture, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment.

Experience and Qualifications
