Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking a Production Technician I to support the operations team with troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on production equipment. You will participate in 5S and Lean activities, assist with line configuration and safety procedures, and learn industry-leading maintenance practices to improve equipment uptime.

The role emphasizes learning, teamwork, and hands-on maintenance across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting required.
• 1-3 years of food processing maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with lockout/tagout, job hazard analysis, hot work permits, confined space, etc.

Responsibilities

• Supports safety policies and contributes to safe work practices.
• Inspects production and process equipment to improve quality and reliability.
• Assist with diagnosing and repairing equipment deficiencies (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic).
• Learn and apply continuous improvement tools to improve equipment uptime and reliability.
