Job summary

LensCrafters is seeking an Apprentice Optician to deliver the LensCrafters Experience and ensure customers are delighted by the sales and service process. You will assist customers in selecting frames and lenses, take measurements, and ensure eyewear dispenses meet quality standards.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, explaining the process, fitting, and educating on guarantees and services, while maintaining store appearance and safety and accurate POS use.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener and team builder.
• Knowledge of current optical theory and merchandise.
• Knowledge of current store merchandise.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Familiarity with POS, computers and calculators.
• Embrace new technology and change.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and explain the LensCrafters process clearly.
• Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses suited to their vision, lifestyle and budget.
• Take and record measurements; adjust eyewear accurately and carefully.
• Dispense eyewear that meets LensCrafters’ standards and customer requests.
• Explain LensCrafters guarantees and services, including eyewear protection and care tips.
• Maintain store appearance and safety, and operate the POS when required.
