Job summary

Luxottica's LensCrafters in Westlake, OH is seeking an Apprentice Optician to deliver the LensCrafters Experience and perform key steps of the selling model. You will greet customers, explain the process, assist with frame and lens selection, and ensure accurate measurements and fittings.

As a center of excellence, you will model service best practices, educate customers on warranties and services, and strive for exceptional results in CEI/Functional Skills.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Member of a sanctioned Apprentice Program.
• Strong customer-service skills: communication, listening, team building.
• Knowledge of current optical theory and merchandise.
• Knowledge of current store merchandise.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Awareness of current fashion trends.
• Experience with sales and service.
• Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators.
• Self-driven player willing to embrace new technology and change.

Responsibilities

• Conduct the Sales and Service Process steps: greeting the customer, explaining the process, merchandise selection, fitting – AccuFit, dispensing.
• Serve as a center of excellence for others, focusing on "Right the First Time" and modeling the CEE service and selling model.
• Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses that suit their vision, lifestyle, and budget, and recommend improvements.
• Anticipate problems, analyze root causes, and implement long-term solutions.
• Show patience, courtesy, and research answers to unfamiliar questions.
• Educate customers on LensCrafters guarantees and services (Eyewear Protection Plan, care tips, complimentary adjustments, follow-up services).
• Take responsibility for accurate measurements, mandatory positioning, and detailed workmanship.
• Ensure finished eyewear meets LensCrafters optical standards and customer requests.
• Strive to achieve "Exceptional Results" on LensCrafters annual CEI/Functional Skills.
• Own personal and store performance outcomes.
