LensCrafters in Youngstown, OH is seeking an Apprentice Optician to deliver the LensCrafters Experience. You will greet customers, explain the process, help select frames and lenses, and ensure accurate measurements and fittings.

This role emphasizes customer service, product knowledge, and teamwork. You’ll learn optical theory, dispense eyewear, operate the POS, and provide follow-up services while upholding LensCrafters’ standards.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Part of a sanctioned Apprentice Program.
• Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener and team builder.
• Knowledge of current optical theory and merchandise.
• Knowledge of current store merchandise.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Awareness of current fashion trends.
• Sales and service skills.
• Familiarity with POS, computers and calculators.
• Embrace new technology and change.

Responsibilities

• Greet the customer and explain the process in a transparent way.
• Help customers select frames and lenses best suited for their vision and lifestyle.
• Take and record measurements, adjust eyewear and dispense accurately.
• Operate the Point of Sale securely and process payments.
• Educate customers on warranties, care tips and follow-up services.
• Maintain store appearance and ensure displays comply with planograms.
