Job summary

PowerGrid Services, LLC is seeking an entry-level helper to assist experienced linemen in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical distribution systems. You will learn by doing under supervision, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to safe, efficient project execution.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, CDL A, First Aid, CPR and pole top rescue certification, and the ability to travel and pass screenings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• First Aid Certification required.
• CPR and pole top rescue competency required.
• CDL A and ability to travel long distances on short notice.
• Pass drug, alcohol, and background checks; pass a physical exam.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical power systems under supervision.
• Learn to read blueprints and understand distribution voltages.
• Work safely on energized and de-energized conductors and ladders.
• Maintain and inspect company vehicles, equipment, and PPE.
• Work in teams and also independently on de-energized lines.
• Lodge and string wire, assemble and erect basic line structures.
• Adapt to various weather conditions and locations; overtime as needed.
