Job summary

PowerGrid Services, LLC is seeking a Journeyman Lineman to perform energized and de-energized line work on transmission and distribution systems in Texas. You will install and maintain poles, crossarms, transformers, insulators, and conductors, while leading complex tasks and ensuring safety standards.

The role requires CDL Class A and extensive experience with overhead/underground systems, plus proficiency in energized work methods and OSHA/NESC/DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Lineman certification or equivalent verifiable experience.
• Extensive experience in overhead and/or underground distribution systems.
• CDL Class A required.
• Proficiency in energized work methods (rubber glove, hot stick, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA, NESC, and DOT/FMCSA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform energized and de-energized line work on transmission and distribution systems.
• Install and maintain poles, crossarms, transformers, insulators, and conductors.
• Lead complex work tasks, including switching, phasing, and troubleshooting outages.
• Perform rubber glove and/or hot stick work as qualified.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and utility standards.
• Direct and guide lower-level crew members on job tasks.
• Conduct job briefings and enforce safe work practices.
• Inspect completed work for quality and compliance.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of PPE, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with DOT/FMCSA vehicle and safety requirements.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed outside in all types of weather environments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Required to have close visual acuity to perform job duties.
