Job summary

Kids for the Future is hiring an Apprentice Lineman in Spur, TX to assist in the construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead distribution lines. This entry-level role involves outdoor work at various job sites, safety compliance, and physical tasks, with travel as needed.

You will learn to string wires, set poles, install transformers, and handle equipment safely. High school diploma required; CDL preferred but not required with six-month attainment; background/MVR/drug screening apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• CDL preferred but not required; must obtain within 6 months of hire.
• No experience required.
• Background check, MVR check, pre-employment drug screen, and physical examination required.
• Ability to work in a team and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in stringing overhead wires, setting poles, and installing equipment.
• Perform safety checks and operate PPE correctly.
• Maintain tools and report issues to supervisor.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Collaborate with crew foreman on assigned tasks.
